Marlene C. Meyer, VP Business Development

Marlene has worked with numerous organizations to add new members or build their memberships. She has over 30 years of experience in managing operations for companies in a variety of companies. Marlene has developed a chamber directory niche for Bearsworth Communications, Inc., where she is vice president of operations.

She has been recognized for her efforts by the Canoga Park/West Hills, Chatsworth,and Encino Chambers of Commerce.

Marlene is a graduate of California State University, Northridge where she earned a degree in Business Management.

Michael S. Turner, President

Michael has over 35 years of award-winning journalism, public relations, and publication production experience.

He is president of Bearsworth Communications, Inc.  His work won first place awards from the Los Angeles Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America and the Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Association of Southern California.

During his broadcasting and journalism, career he interviewed over 5,000 guests: politicians, business leaders, activists, athletes, and celebrities. Many of his stories were carried by the Associated Press and aired on National Public Radio.

Michael teaches at the University of Phoenix for the Online Campus, Axia College, and the Southern California Campus in the communications major.

He is past president of the Encino Chamber of Commerce and past chair of the Valley Cultural Center. Michael serves on the boards for the Encino Chamber of Commerce and the Canoga Park/West Hills Chamber of Commerce.

He is a member of the National Speakers Association and was recognized in 2007 as a Member of the Year. Michael is past president of the Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Association of Southern California; the Los Angeles Chapter of Sales and Marketing Executives International; Public Communicators of Los Angeles; and the Print Interactive Radio and Television Education Society.

Michael earned his Master’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from Iowa State University and Bachelor’s Degree in Radio/TV/ Film and Journalism from San Diego State University.
